Aidyn Tormod

Born to Solammand’Ra Tribe of the Northern Desert, Aidyn though he would forever live the life of a desert nomad, that is, until his 23rd R‘Ra.

Aidyn was out with a group of hunters tracking down their next meal for the tribe. That night, as Aidyn’s star came into place Aidyn began to feel very warm. Aidyn consulted with the leader of the hunting party, who told Aidyn that it was time he finally learned the truth about the Solammand’Raians and to head back to the main camp and talk to Sola’Ra.

Aidyn headed back to the main camp and found Sola’Ra by an the oasis.

“So, you have finally received The Warmth of Solammand’Ra!?” Sola’Ra said as Aidyn sat down beside him.

“I’m not sure I understand.” Aidyn replied.

“You might think the stories of Solammand’Ra are just that, stories, but Solammand’Ra was real. It is he who gave us our special abilities.”

“What special abilities!?”

“Look at yourself in the water, Aidyn.”

Aidyn looked at himself in the water and noticed his iris colour had changed to a faint glowing orange from a dull greyish-blue.

“My eyes!? What happened!?”

“Look me in the eyes.”

So, Aidyn looked Sola’Ra in the eyes.

“Your eyes never glowed before either!”

“Oh, they did. It is just that only those who have The Warmth of Solammand’Ra are able to see others who have The Warmth.”

“What exactly is this Warmth of Solammand’Ra anyway!?”

“See that shrub over there!? Concentrate on it.”

So, Aidyn concentrated on the shrub when suddenly it burst into flames. Aidyn, shocked, stopped concentrating on the shrub and looked over towards Sola’Ra.

“Oh my! Nobody has ever done that on their first night with The Warmth! Please put it out and wait for me here, Aidyn.”

Sola’Ra got up and headed to his tent while Aidyn put out the fire. After a few minutes Sola’Ra came back with some scrolls. He opened one up looked at it, looked up in the sky, and then looked at Aidyn.

“The scrolls do not lie. You are the one. You must go and find Solammand’Ra.” Sola’Ra told Aidyn.

“What do you mean: Find Solammand’Ra!?”

“Years and years ago Solammand’Ra was taken away from us by -The HU-M’as- (What the tribe calls those belonging to The Empire). They feared Solammand’Ra and his powers, but they could not kill him, so they did the next best thing: They captured him. Little did they know that there was a small group of -Strange Ones- who worshiped him, so, we had to leave the cities and hide out here in the desert as to not be found out. They also didn’t know we posses The Warmth of Solammand’Ra, otherwise we too would have likely been captured, or worse, killed. -The HU-M’as- do not possess the power to kill Solammand’Ra though, only to keep him captive, but, they could find the power to kill him. That is why you must go find and save him. Over the years we have compiled a list of possible places -The HU-M’as- could be keeping Solammand’Ra and marked them on a map that would be given to The ‘Ra. That is you, Aidyn. Please take this map and a few more things I have in my tent and find and free Solammand’Ra. The Warmth of Solammand’Ra will help you on your quest.”

Not questioning his destiny, as he wanted a chance to finally leave the desert and see what else was out there, Aidyn went to Sola’Ra’s tent and gathered up the other items marked for The ‘Ra and left on his quest to free Solammand’Ra.
