The Heart Lands
The Heart Lands represent a region of ../PlaneOfExis dominated by fertile plains, heaviest in the east. Travel is possible mainly by way of ../GoldRoad.
Dominion of Aerlon
The Dominion of Aerlon was a medium sized Kingdom located in southeastern Exis, but it no longer resembles its former state, since the 171st day of year 437. It has been taken over by pockets of Doommarch. Its capital, Varuna, was infested with vile creatures when a nearby pocket of Doommarch opened. The creatures slaughtered nearly all of Varuna's citizens, including Aerlon's former leader, Queen Talza. The rest of Aerlon's ruling councilors are also dead, or are assumed to be. Many more cities and towns in Aerlon have also been decimated in the attack, such as Wesif, a large village which disappeared when a dimensional rift swallowed it. Only a couple villages near the Worend Empire remain unscathed, and most of their citizens have abandoned their homes, fearing the Doommarch or its brutal creatures might overtake them as well.
Three quarters of Aerlon's citizens are dead or unaccounted for. Refugees have scattered throughout the rest of Exis, but most have fled to the Worend Empire. The Worend Empire is trying to find space for their homeless allies, but the vast number of refugees has resulted in unacceptable living conditions for many Aerlonians.
